About Me

For example, the video looks fantastic, but not great. It again renders accurate colors not to mention consistent exposures, with solid dynamic range–the contrast looks excellent, without unusual clipping within highlights and shadows, actually in harsh sunlight. And yet there’s also wobble, moiré, together with a muddiness in midrange-distance highlights like grass and leaves which don’t expect in an important camcorder in its fee class. That’s partly because of the lack of a developing recording mode–though it charms 30fps, it records on 60i, introducing all the aliasing conditions that interlacing does (this is really a drawback of standard AVCHD). That cheaper Canon Vixia HF G10′s video recording looks better, and significantly as I can tell makes more of your 24Mbps bit rate versus Sony.
