Mister Kingsley Amis (April 16, 1922 - October 22, 1995) was an British novelist, poet, critic, and teacher. He was the writer of twenty books, three collections of poetry, numerous short tales, and ten books of social or literary critique.

Born working in london, he was educated in the Town of London School and St. John's College, Oxford.
